PLAYSTYLE AND SCHEME FIT

Hyatt's speed, quickness, and ability to create separation make him a versatile receiver who could fit in various NFL offensive schemes. Whether he is used as a deep threat, a slot receiver, or a return specialist, he has the potential to develop into a valuable weapon for any team that drafts him. Hyatt projects as a slot receiver who can also line up outside when needed.

PASS GAME ANALYSIS

Jalin Hyatt is a 6-0 185lb field-stretching WR that NFL teams will look at as a guy who can make an immediate impact. His ability to get on top of defenders by deploying elite acceleration stands out when evaluating Hyatt. Hyatt is a solid route runner who does a great job locating the openings in a defense. He has good hands and displayed an elite ability to track the football. Hyatt is a dynamic player after the catch. Hyatt runs 88% of his routes from the slot at Tennessee, so his versatility could be limited.

RUN GAME ANALYSIS

In the run game, Hyatt is a willing blocker. He is not an overly physical player and could use some additional functional weight to help him as both a blocker and a pass catcher. He has the speed and athleticism to be effective on end rounds and reverses at the next level.

FINAL REPORT

Jalin Hyatt is a talented receiver with excellent speed, route-running ability, and big-play potential. While his size may be a concern at the next level, his speed and elusiveness make him a dangerous weapon in the passing and return game. Hyatt can be a terrific complimentary piece on a team needing a field-stretching deep threat. At the NFL level, he will need to diversify his route tree. Hyatt is a projected late 1st to mid 2nd round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
