PASS GAME ANALYSIS
In the passing game, Evans has lacked usage, yet when he gets the chance, he has shown he has the chops to take his game to the next level in terms of three-down versatility. He is not great in pass pro and will need to see more reps in this area.
RUN GAME ANALYSIS
In the run game, Evans is a pure runner who runs behind his pads. Evans has excellent lower body strength to churn out tough yards in tight areas when needed. He plays with patience, tempo, and good vision when looking for a crease. Evans can be creative; he can displace defenders with a stiff arm and has the wiggle to force a missed tackle in space. Evans can be explosive and has the acceleration necessary to defeat second and third-level defenders in a foot race to the end zone.
FINAL REPORT
Evans is a natural at pressing the hole and using his vision to locate the open area and either explode through an opening or bounce it to the open space. Evans can run behind his pads, picking up the tough yards or in goal-to-go situations when needed. If Evans does grow as a receiver with more usage at Ole Miss in 2022, he has the skill set to be a top-three back in this class.
