PLAYER EVALUATION
The ACC's all-time rusher, he could have left Clemson a season ago but decided to return. Etienne plays with great burst and contact balance and is an excellent pass catcher. Where he needs improvement is as a pass blocker and fumbles. The positives for Etienne outweigh the negatives.
TEAM ANALYSIS
Other Considerations If Available:
BYU QB Zach Wilson or Alabama WR DeVonta Smith or Trade back or Trade For Deshaun Watson or Russell Wilson
The Jets need a lot to improve their roster moving into the 2021 season, and by drafting a QB with a rookie contract, they can quickly find themselves in prime position. The Jets have a favorable cap situation heading into a year where the $198M cap in 2020 could drop to $175M because of losses in 2020 due to the pandemic. The Jets can go a few different ways; they could trade the pick away for Deshaun Watson, they could stick with Darnold, trade back, and grab a WR. The other puzzle for the Jets is which of the QB's projected to be available at number two is the best option, Ohio State's Justin Fields or BYU's Zach Wilson?
