Big Ten Player of The Year: Ohio State QB Justin Fields.
The Georgia transfer has been terrific In 2019 leading the Big Ten in passer rating (192.1) while throwing for 2654 yds on 277 attempts and 37 TDs to 1 INT. Fields posted a 200 or better passer rating in 6 games this season. Unlike Haskins a season ago, Fields is a threat to run on any given play. The dual-threat QB racked up 470 yds, and 10 more TD’s on the ground.
Fields with one more year before he is draft eligible is projected to be a potential top ten pick in 2021. His ability to keep plays alive with his legs mimics many of the NFL’s top young QB’s.
Fields exhibit's good deep ball accuracy, and completes 68% of his passes. Fields had three games this season where he completed less than 56% of his passes (Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana) all three teams were able to apply pressure on Fields with success moving him off of his spot and taking away his number one read. When Field’s has time, he can be deadly accurate.
