PLAYSTYLE & SCHEME FIT
Golday is a big, explosive linebacker with outstanding size and very good athletic tools for the position. He thrives near the line of scrimmage where his heavy hands, length, and physicality allow him to constrict run lanes and stack and shed effectively. His sideline-to-sideline range and closing burst show up in pursuit, and his background as an edge defender adds value as a blitzer. However, his zone awareness and processing speed remain inconsistent, and he can be a tick slow triggering from depth. Golday projects as a starting SAM or inside linebacker in an aggressive front, with three-down upside if his diagnostic speed improves.
CEILING GRADE ANALYSIS
High-End Starter Potential (65-69)
A player expected to become a top-tier starter within their first few years. They possess strong physical tools and good technical skills but may have some limitations in their game. With development, they can reach near-elite levels and provide consistent impact at their position.
