PLAYSTYLE & SCHEME FIT
Scott is an explosive, high-motor nickel defender whose value comes from versatility, blitz timing, and downhill disruption. He triggers quickly against screens and perimeter runs, processes route concepts well in zone, and is the most effective blitzing defensive back in this class. His physicality and energy elevate the defense, particularly in sub-packages. However, his foot quickness and hip fluidity limit his effectiveness in true man coverage, and he struggles turning and locating the football downfield. Size and length limitations show up at the catch point and when disengaging from blocks. He projects best as a sub-package nickel, STAR defender, or hybrid box DB in aggressive, pressure-heavy systems rather than as a full-time outside corner.
CEILING GRADE ANALYSIS

A player expected to become a top-tier starter within their first few years. They possess strong physical tools and good technical skills but may have some limitations in their game. With development, they can reach near-elite levels and provide consistent impact at their position.
