PLAYSTYLE & SCHEME FIT
Elliott is a physical, downhill linebacker with very good size, excellent play strength, and outstanding run instincts. He diagnoses blocking schemes quickly, plays with patience at the line of scrimmage, and stacks and sheds effectively in tight quarters. His tackling reliability and pop on contact make him a tone-setter in the box, and he provides added value as a blitzer. However, he is not a high-end athlete and lacks true sideline-to-sideline range, limiting his upside in man coverage and open-field matchups. Elliott projects best as an early-down MIKE or SAM in a defense that prioritizes physicality and interior run fits while protecting him in sub-package coverage situations.
CEILING GRADE ANALYSIS
High-End Starter Potential (65-69)
A player expected to become a top-tier starter within their first few years. They possess strong physical tools and good technical skills but may have some limitations in their game. With development, they can reach near-elite levels and provide consistent impact at their position.
