PLAYSTYLE & SCHEME FIT
Thomas is a twitch-driven, speed-based edge defender who wins with burst, bend, and aggressive speed-to-power conversion. His explosive first three steps, ankle flexion, and ability to shave the corner make him a legitimate vertical threat off the edge. He can convert speed to power better than his frame suggests, and his motor allows him to generate second-effort pressure. However, his lack of ideal length, average lower-body anchor, and inconsistent hand timing limit his ability to consistently set the edge or disengage against long NFL tackles. Thomas projects best as a wide-alignment pass rusher in an odd front (3-4 OLB) or as a designated rush end in sub-packages where he can attack half-man relationships and avoid heavy base-block responsibility. Early in his career, he profiles as a third-down pressure specialist with starter upside in a speed-based front.
CEILING GRADE ANALYSIS

A player expected to become a top-tier starter within their first few years. They possess strong physical tools and good technical skills but may have some limitations in their game. With development, they can reach near-elite levels and provide consistent impact at their position.
