Ashton Jeanty Dynasty Rookie Profile

RB – Las Vegas Raiders | Drafted: Round 1 | College: Boise State

College Career Recap

Ashton Jeanty delivered one of the most prolific careers we’ve ever seen from a Group of Five running back. After flashing as a freshman in 2022, he took over the Boise State backfield in 2023, averaging over 160 scrimmage yards per game and producing multiple 200-yard performances. His junior campaign in 2024 cemented his legacy: 2,601 rushing yards, 29 TDs, and 2,750 all-purpose yards — breaking multiple school, conference, and national records in the process. Jeanty earned Unanimous All-American honors, was the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year, and finished as the Heisman Trophy runner-up.

His numbers were mind-boggling: a PFF rushing grade of 96.6, 1,970 yards after contact, and a staggering 164 missed tackles forced — the most in FBS history. Jeanty added elite value as a receiver, posting 569 receiving yards in 2023 and ranking first among RBs in receiving grade. He recorded 14 100-yard games in 2024, five 70+ yard touchdown runs, and closed his career as Boise State’s all-time leader in rushing yards, yards per carry, and 100-yard rushing games. Jeanty’s elite contact balance, vision, and burst made him a true three-down game-changer.

NFL Scouting Report

Jeanty is an elite-level, do-it-all back who combines vision, burst, contact balance, and underrated receiving chops in a compact, powerful frame. He thrives in zone-based schemes, particularly outside zone or pin-pull, where his ability to manipulate second-level defenders and explode through gaps shines. With rare elusiveness, generational contact balance, and a track record of dominant production, Jeanty projects as a Day 1 impact starter. The only concern is pass protection, but he offers too much in every other facet to keep off the field. His skill set profiles as a franchise back in a modern run-oriented offense.

Scheme Fit & Projected Role with Raiders

Drafted No. 6 overall by the Raiders, Jeanty steps into an ideal landing spot with little competition. He projects as the immediate feature back under Pete Carroll and OC Chip Kelly. Las Vegas added Raheem Mostert for depth, but neither Mostert nor McCormick threatens Jeanty’s touch share. Kelly’s system historically features RBs in both the run and pass game, and Jeanty’s versatility fits perfectly in a zone-heavy scheme.

Rookie Outlook (2025)
  • Floor: High-end RB2; 15+ touches per game with occasional third-down work

  • Ceiling: RB1 overall contender; 300+ touches in a feature role

  • Early Projection: 250 carries, 45 targets, 1,400+ scrimmage yards, 10–12 total TDs

Long-Term Dynasty Value

Jeanty is the clear 1.01 in 1QB and a top-3 pick in Superflex dynasty formats. His elite combination of production, athleticism, and scheme fit offers rare upside. With improved pass protection, he can evolve into a perennial top-five fantasy RB. Assuming Las Vegas continues to invest in its offensive line, Jeanty could become a fantasy cornerstone for the next 5–7 years.
